Well, the notice regarding the welcome program itself became embarrassing for me because our exam was going on and kumar sir wrote down the notice on the board in our class, which I could not see because I didn’t have my spectacles on!! Urghh…I had to ask my friends about the date, venue and the dress codes. In addition, the exam on that day was even worse.. All in all, I didn’t get a good sign for the upcoming welcome program…..

It might be because of the exams that I felt like it was ages till the welcome party . But finally, when the day knocked at our doors, I was dying out of common cold and feeling all dizzy… Poor me …… But still, gathering all the energy and excitement left inside me, I reached “Celebration” with my friends. For the first few hours, I had severe headache and couldn’t realize what was going on around me. But after intake of a painkiller, I slowly started to feel better and started enjoying the program to some extent. There were dance performances and music. Tons of thanks from my side goes to the dance performers because their dance, which I found to be funny made me feel alive and even more fresh.

Almost half of program was over and my stomach had started growling by then but there was no hint of lunch!! We just had a cup of tea and spent some quality time chatting. We were there in the hall only for some exciting program like paper dance and heavy metal performance from our batch’s students. Later, was the cake cutting ceremony and dance by the eigth semester students which I found to be the most boring part of the program as it had nothing to do with us.. I would have been pleased if they had a cake for us too ;-P……. Again, there were dance and heavy metal, dance and heavy metal and dance and heavy metal….. Finally, we had our lunch at around 5 in the evening!... We were like “thank god! We atleat got to have something..” Again after this and that, the most awaited moment of the day arrived that was the DANCE PARTY. The music was played and we were there on the dance floor, dancing like crazy people……………….. But, alas!! I was supposed to be home by 7 that day as I had to bid goodbye to my aunt who had a flight at 9o’clock. Poor, poor me. I had to let go of the dance floor and return home. But still, the last 30 minutes that I spent there was the best of the day that I had.

As it is said, ”Everything is good, if it ends good.” So, the welcome party all in all, was LOVELY! pastedGraphic.pdf
